These terms apply to every affiliate in the SMTAK program from 2026-10-18.

## The commission

- The commission is a share of every payment your customer makes during their first year (the first 12 months from their first paid subscription), whether monthly or annual, for new customer workspaces that subscribe through the affiliate's link or code. The rate that applies to a payment is the one published on the affiliate program page when the customer makes that payment. If a different rate or amount is agreed with an affiliate, it is written to them and applies to them.
- SMTAK may change the rate. A change applies only to payments made after it is published. Commissions already earned keep their amounts, and the change is announced on the affiliate program page.
- The commission is calculated on each payment separately and never exceeds what the customer actually paid. After the first 12 months from the customer's first paid subscription, their payments earn no commission.
- A commission is earned once the customer's payment is confirmed. If the payment is refunded, its commission is cancelled.
- A customer is credited to the first affiliate they came from. A workspace owned by the affiliate, or using the affiliate's own email, does not count.

## Approval and payment

- SMTAK's administration approves each commission after review and pays it by bank transfer. The status of each commission (awaiting approval, approved, paid, void) is shown in the affiliate dashboard.
- The affiliate does not see customers' names or data, only the number of paying customers and the commission amounts.

## What an affiliate may not do

- Self-referral: signing up a workspace the affiliate owns, or with the affiliate's own email, to earn the commission.
- Spam by any means, and messaging people who have not asked for it.
- Misleading claims about SMTAK, its prices or its features.
- Promising customers a Google Maps ranking, a number of reviews or the removal of reviews. SMTAK guarantees none of these.
- Offering customers anything in exchange for a review, or for a positive review. That breaks Google's policies.
- Bidding on the SMTAK name or brand in paid search ads.

## Suspension and changes

- SMTAK may suspend an affiliate who breaks these terms and void the unpaid commissions earned that way.
- These terms may change with notice on this page. Commissions already earned stay under the terms in force when they were earned.
