Google Reviews for Fashion and Abaya Stores: Sizes, Exchanges and Service
A fashion or abaya store answers a Google Maps review by turning the note into help: a size out of stock gets a real alternative, an exchange gets a pointer to the published policy and an invitation to contact, and staff conduct gets an apology and escalation to management. Before the shopper drives to the store she opens its profile: is the range in stock, is the service kind, is exchange easy? Reviews answer, and your replies complete the answer.
For the general steps and samples for any business read replying to Google Maps reviews, and for a wider library ready-made reply templates.
What shoppers usually write
- A size or model out of stock.
- Exchanges and refunds.
- How the staff treated them.
- Prices and offers, and price differences between branches or the online store.
- Store layout and crowding in seasons.
- For abayas: late tailoring or alteration, colour differing from the photo, and the fabric.
Ready replies by note
Samples we wrote for you to adapt, not replies to real shoppers.
A size out of stock
Turn the note into help: another branch that has the size, an online store, or the arrival date of new stock if you know it.
We are sorry your size is out of stock at the branch. We would be glad to help you get it from another branch or from our online store; please contact us on the customer service number.
Mention the other branch or the online store only if they exist.
Exchanges and refunds
Do not argue about invoice terms in public. Say the exchange policy is available at the cashier or on the website, and invite contact.
We are sorry for the trouble with the exchange. The exchange policy is available at the cashier and on our website, and please contact us with your invoice number so we can review your case.
Late tailoring or alteration
We are sorry your abaya was handed over later than the appointment. Your note has reached the branch manager, and please contact us with your order number so we can update you on its status.
Do not give a new date unless you are sure of it.
Colour or fabric differing from the photo
Thank you for your note. We want our photos to show the piece as it is, and we will review the displayed image. Please contact us so we can help you exchange it if you wish.
Staff conduct
We are sorry about your experience with the sales team, and that is not what we want for our customers. Your note has reached the branch manager, and please contact us so we understand what happened.
Prices
We value your note about prices. Please contact us so we can explain the reason for any difference between branches.
Praise
Pass the thanks to the staff member by name if one is mentioned: it encourages the team and shows readers that good service is noticed.
You are too kind, [name], and we are glad you liked the piece. Your thanks reached the sales team, and we look forward to your next visit.
What to show on the store's profile
- The precise category, and opening hours with Ramadan and Eid hours.
- Product photos: Google recommends at least three of the products you sell, evenly lit and reflecting reality, plus exterior and interior photos.
- A link to your website or online store, and a phone number your customer service team answers.
- The in-store products feature: Google says it is only available to retail businesses in eligible countries or regions, and its guidelines name the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland. So do not assume it is available on your profile until you see it in your account.
Seasons
Before Ramadan and Eid the number of visitors and reviews rises. Arrange who replies in the season, answer negative notes first, and update store hours before the season starts.
Ask at the cashier
A QR code beside the payment device, in the e-invoice message or on the bag, as Google suggests displaying it in your shop and including it in receipts, created in the Google review link and QR tool, for every customer in the same way. But the cashier or salesperson does not ask the customer to write a review at the till or press them, there is no discount for a review, and customers are not asked to name a specific employee, since Google's policies prohibit that.
A weekly routine for the store
- Read each branch's new reviews and sort them: size, exchange, service, price, tailoring.
- Reply to the negative ones first, after checking the invoice or order.
- Collect the sizes and models that keep running out and tell purchasing.
- Pass praise to the sales team in a short meeting.
- Update season hours and new product photos in the profile.
Common mistakes
- Blaming the customer for a size being out of stock or for a wrong size.
- Stating exchange terms and amounts in public.
- Promising a delivery date that is not confirmed.
- Assuming the in-store products feature is available in the Kingdom.
How SMTAK helps fashion stores
The reviews of all your branches reach one dashboard, with a draft reply in a refined tone that suits your brand, and you can set a tone for each branch. The report shows each branch's recurring topics, such as service, staff and prices. Replies to low ratings wait for your approval.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reply to a complaint that a refund was refused?
With a brief apology, a pointer that the exchange and refund policy is available, and an invitation to direct contact to review the case, without arguing about terms in public.
Should I reply to every positive review?
That is up to you. Google says there is no need to thank every reviewer, but a short reply mentioning what the customer liked shows you follow your reviews.
Can I put the review code on the shopping bag?
Yes, provided it reaches every customer in the same way with nothing in return for a review, and the cashier does not press customers while they are in the store.
Can I show my store's in-stock products on my Google Maps profile?
Google says this feature is only available to retail businesses in eligible countries or regions. Check your account, and do not assume it is available.
