Saudi Dialect or Formal Arabic in Google Review Replies: Choosing Your Brand's Tone

SMTAK TeamPublished Updated Reading time: 2 min read

These templates are a starting point, not text to paste unchanged. The same reply copied under dozens of reviews looks automated and loses its effect. Replace the brackets with real details from each review and rotate the wording.

This guide is about choosing the tone. For the steps and general rules of replying, read replying to Google Maps reviews, and for more wording open the review reply templates.

How to choose the tone

  • Plain Saudi dialect usually suits restaurants, cafes, salons and shops; it feels warm and close.
  • Simple formal Arabic usually suits clinics, companies, official bodies and hotels.
  • Keep one tone for your brand and do not switch from reply to reply.
  • Reply in the language of the review: an English review gets an English reply.
  • Soften the dialect in replies to serious complaints, and avoid humour and emoji in them.
  • Rotate openings and closings so the same phrasing does not repeat across the page.

The examples below show each tone; they are a starting point, not text to paste unchanged.

Personalise any template in a minute

  • The reviewer's name as it appears on the review.
  • One detail they mentioned: a dish, a staff member, a service.
  • The branch name if you have more than one.
  • A private contact channel in negative replies.

For clinics and healthcare, never confirm publicly that the reviewer is a patient or mention details of their visit.

When reviews outgrow what your team can answer carefully each day, copy-paste creeps in. SMTAK drafts a reply for each review from its own details, in your brand voice and in the review's language, for your approval; replies to one-to-three-star reviews are never published without you.

Frequently asked questions

Is it bad to paste the same reply everywhere?

Yes. It looks automated. Personalise with the reviewer's name and a detail, and rotate the wording.

Should I include a phone number in a public reply?

Use your official customer service number or a dedicated email, never a staff member's personal number.
